Steps
1. Select products
Pick individual products or entire collections.
2. Select ad entities
Choose campaigns, ad groups, or ads to control. You can only select one entity type per guard.
3. Set thresholds
- Pause when — stock ≤ X units (set to 0 for out-of-stock only)
- Resume when — stock ≥ Y units
Set resume higher than pause to prevent rapid on/off switching.
4. Choose automation mode
Monitor onlyNotifications only, no automatic changes
Auto pausePauses ads when stock is low. Notifies you when resume conditions are met — you resume manually.
Auto pause & resumeFully automated — pauses and resumes based on your thresholds
5. Takeover (optional)
If ads are already paused (not by SpendGuard), enable takeover so SpendGuard can resume them. See Manual Overrides & Takeover.
Editing and deleting
Edit any guard from the Guards page → click the guard → Edit. Changes apply immediately. Deleting a guard stops all monitoring — ads stay in their current state.
