How to Fix Misaligned Address Labels Printed From iPhone

Troubleshoot address labels that print too high, low, left or right — wrong paper code, Fit to Page scaling, alignment offsets and free test prints.

Short answer: First confirm the correct paper code and print at Actual Size / 100%. Then open Alignment in LabelSheet, shift horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) offsets, and use Test print / Print test sheet before a full run. Calibration cannot fix the wrong template or Fit to Page scaling.

Check the paper before you adjust offsets

Most “everything is off” results come from the wrong sheet type — for example selecting an A4 layout while loading US Letter paper, or picking a similar product code that is not the geometry on your box. In Choose label paper, search the code on the packaging and confirm the layout description (for example Letter · 3 × 10).

Turn off Fit to Page / Scale to Fit

System print dialogs and some PDF viewers can shrink or enlarge the whole page. That shifts every label. Prefer Actual Size or 100%. If you print from a shared PDF, apply the same rule in that app's print options.

Use Alignment and free test prints

  1. Open Sheet preview, then tap Alignment (dialog title: Adjust alignment).
  2. Adjust horizontal (X) and vertical (Y) offsets in millimetres for small shifts.
  3. Tap Test print / Print test sheet. Alignment test pages are free and do not use your free single-sheet Print/Share allowance.
  4. Measure the result, refine offsets, then Print or Share the full job.

Offsets are saved per sheet type (layout), not as a separate profile for each physical printer. If you change printers, test again — paper path and margins still differ by device.

Cumulative drift and multi-page jobs

Small feed differences can add up across a long page or a multi-sheet job. Re-check with a test print after changing paper stock or printers. Do not keep stacking large offsets to correct the wrong paper template.

What alignment cannot fix

  • Wrong manufacturer code or A4 vs Letter mismatch
  • Fit to Page / Scale to Fit still enabled
  • Borderless modes or printer minimum margins outside the app
  • Addresses that overflow a label (fix layout or shorten text first)

Common questions

Should I keep changing alignment after every page?

Usually no. Fix paper code and Actual Size first. Use small millimetre offsets and a free test print, then print the job.

Does LabelSheet guarantee perfect physical alignment?

No. LabelSheet positions content in the layout and PDF; printer hardware and dialog settings still affect the paper.
