How to Print Multiple Photos on One A4 or Letter Sheet From iPhone

Printing each photo on its own sheet wastes paper and time — especially when you need several small prints, school photos, or wallet-size copies. A better approach is to place multiple photos on one A4 or US Letter page at the physical sizes you want, then cut them apart after printing.

Same-sized photos and multiple copies

The simplest case is several copies of the same size: for example eight 2×2 in prints on Letter, or a grid of 4×6 in photos that fit on the sheet. You choose the size and how many copies you need; the layout packs what fits and continues onto another page when needed.

Different physical sizes on the same sheet

Sometimes you need mixed sizes in one print job. For example, a sheet might include:

• one 4×6 in photo
• two 2×2 in photos
• one 35×45 mm photo

Those can share a page when they physically fit with the chosen margins and spacing. Exact packing order depends on the sizes, paper, gaps and page settings — so treat examples as illustrations, not a promise of one fixed grid.

A4 vs US Letter

A4 (210×297 mm) and US Letter (8.5×11 in) are close but not identical. A layout that fits Letter may need another page on A4, or vice versa. Always match the paper size in the app to the paper loaded in the printer.

Margins, gaps and orientation

Printers need non-printable margins. Extra spacing between photos makes cutting easier. Portrait vs landscape arrangement can change how many pieces fit. PrintFit may rotate a print by 90° when Auto-rotate helps fit or save a page — that changes placement on the sheet, not the requested physical dimensions (you can turn Auto-rotate off in Page setup).

What happens when everything does not fit

When all selected prints cannot fit at their requested sizes, PrintFit creates another page instead of quietly reducing sizes. That behaviour protects exact dimensions at the cost of an extra sheet when the math requires it. Open Page setup to review paper, margins and spacing if you want to adjust packing.

After printing: cut carefully

Use a ruler and sharp craft knife or paper cutter for clean edges. Leave a little breathing room in gaps if you plan to trim by hand. For jobs where millimetres matter, measure one finished cut before trimming the whole sheet.

Printer scaling still applies
