Common questions

Why does PrintMyCal ask for Full Calendar Access?

On iOS 17 and later, Apple requires Full Calendar Access for apps that need to read calendar events. PrintMyCal uses this permission to build printable previews. The app does not create, edit or delete your original events.

What if I declined calendar access?

Open iPhone Settings, find PrintMyCal in app settings or Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars, and allow calendar access. Return to PrintMyCal and refresh or reopen the app. iOS menu labels may vary by version.

Why can't I see a calendar?

First check that it appears in the Apple Calendar app on your iPhone. Verify that account syncing is enabled in iOS, then reopen PrintMyCal → Calendars and select it. PrintMyCal does not separately sign in to Google or Exchange.

How do I choose what to print?

Use the Day, Week, Month or List selector on the main screen. Tap the date heading to choose a starting date and the period count or range. Use Calendars to choose sources, Paper for A4/Letter and orientation, and Customize for text and event details.

Where is the Week Columns/Stacked option?

Select Week, open Customize, then choose Week arrangement: Columns (side by side) or Stacked (top to bottom). This option applies to Week only.

Why does a monthly calendar create extra pages?

A month grid has limited room for each day. PrintMyCal places overflowing event details on continuation pages rather than quietly discarding them. Try a larger paper or fewer calendars if you want a simpler grid.

How do I rename or hide an event in the printout?

Open Customize → Edit printout. Choose an event and change the Printed title, show it as Busy, or Hide event for the printed copy. These changes do not update Apple Calendar and are not part of Saved Views.

Does switching a Saved View change my dates?

No. Saved Views remember the print setup — layout, calendars, paper and formatting — but they do not store or change the dates you currently selected.

How does the free month work?

The first calendar month you successfully output becomes your free month. You can reprint that month. Printing additional months and longer eligible date ranges requires Lifetime access. A canceled print or share should not consume the allowance.

How do I save or share a PDF?

Open your preview and choose ⋮ → Save/Share PDF. The document is generated on your device and you choose where it goes using iOS sharing options.

How do I print to a printer?

Tap Print in the main preview and follow the iOS print dialog. Your printer must be supported by AirPrint or a suitable system printing path. Match the paper size selected in PrintMyCal to the paper loaded in the printer.

How do I restore Lifetime access?

Open ⋮ → Settings → Lifetime Access and use Restore purchase while signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Apple manages purchases and refunds.

Will PrintMyCal change my Apple Calendar events?

No. EventKit is used to read event data for printing. Print-only editing and privacy options affect only the output being created.

Does PrintMyCal upload my calendar to Saanvi servers?

Calendar event contents and generated print PDFs are processed locally. PrintMyCal does not upload them to developer-operated servers. If you choose to share or print a PDF, the destination you select handles that file under its own terms.
