ArtYears Privacy Policy

Privacy summary

ArtYears is designed to keep your family's artwork private. In the current version of ArtYears, your children's profiles, artwork and library are stored on your device. ArtYears does not require an account and does not upload your artwork to our servers for storage. We do not sell personal information, show ads or track you across apps and websites.

Child profiles

Parents or guardians may create child profiles that can include a child's name, birthday, and an optional avatar or photo.

Birthday is used to:

• Calculate the child's age when artwork was created
• Organize artwork and automatic Age Art Books
• Help determine an appropriate time range when searching for older artwork in Photos

In the current version of ArtYears, these profile details are stored in ArtYears' local app data on your device.

Artwork and library information

To provide the local artwork library, ArtYears may store:

• Original artwork photographs or scans
• Generated display versions and thumbnails
• Crop, rotation and perspective information
• Artwork date and user-entered title, Note and Medium
• Favorite status and album membership
• Age Art Book layout and configuration
• Internal image, duplicate and search metadata as needed for the library

This information is used to run the local library, Age Art Books, search and related features on your device.

Camera

ArtYears uses the camera when you choose Scan artwork. The resulting image is stored in ArtYears' private app storage.

ArtYears does not continuously access the camera. Camera access is used for scanning when you start that feature.

Choose from Photos

When you choose artwork manually with Choose from Photos, Apple's system photo picker lets you select the specific images you want to provide to ArtYears. Where that picker path is used, ArtYears is intended to receive only the images you select, without requiring full Photos library access for that action.

Your original photos in the Photos library are not edited or deleted by ArtYears. Selected images are copied into ArtYears' private app storage.

Find artwork in Photos

Find artwork in Photos is optional. It searches the Photos library you have allowed ArtYears to access and suggests items that may be children's artwork.

ArtYears asks for Photos permission when this functionality needs it. With Limited Photos access, ArtYears can inspect only the items you make accessible. Broader or full access enables searching a broader set of photos.

In the current version of ArtYears, analysis for this feature happens on-device. Suggestions are shown for your review. Artwork is not added to your ArtYears library until you confirm the items to add.

ArtYears may store PhotoKit asset identifiers locally to help avoid re-importing or re-processing the same items. Those identifiers are not your artwork images themselves.

ArtYears does not change or delete the original items in your Photos library.

On-device analysis

ArtYears may use Apple-provided on-device technologies such as Vision, OCR / text recognition and image classification. These can help:

• Find likely artwork in Photos
• Detect page edges when scanning
• Recognize visible text during on-device analysis where applicable

ArtYears does not send artwork to Confianza servers for these features.

Title, Note and Medium are user-entered fields. ArtYears does not claim to generate those fields for you.

Albums and Age Art Books

ArtYears locally stores album names and memberships, automatic age grouping, Age Art Book layout and configuration, page order, and related design or caption choices as applicable.

These details are part of the local library and are included when you create an ArtYears backup.

Printing, PDFs and sharing

ArtYears can generate PDFs and print output locally on your device.

Data leaves ArtYears only when you deliberately choose actions such as Share, Save, Export or Print. Destinations such as AirPrint, Files, Mail, Messages, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or another app are operated by those providers. Their privacy practices apply after you send a file there. Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP does not control those destinations.

When you share or print, Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP does not receive the file through the ArtYears app.

Export artwork

Export artwork creates user-controlled artwork files for saving or sharing outside ArtYears. Export is not the same as an ArtYears backup and is not intended as a full library restore package.

Once exported to another app, service or location, that destination's privacy and security practices apply.

Create backup

Create backup creates a portable ArtYears backup intended to restore the library later. A backup may contain child profiles, artwork images and related media, database and library metadata, albums, Age Art Books, titles, Notes, dates, favorites, and other information required for restoration.

In the current version of ArtYears, a backup is a normal portable ZIP file and is not independently password-encrypted by ArtYears. Anyone who can access your ArtYears backup file may be able to access its contents. Store backup files in a secure location you trust.

Once a backup is shared or saved to Files, iCloud or another provider, that destination controls its storage.

Restore backup

Restore backup lets you restore a compatible ArtYears backup into the app. Restoring replaces the current local library with the contents of the selected backup according to the app's restore flow. If a backup was created by a newer version of ArtYears, you may need to update the app before restoring.

Local storage and deletion

In the current version of ArtYears, the active library is stored in private app storage protected by normal iOS application sandboxing and platform protections. ArtYears does not add a separate password-encryption layer on top of that storage.

Uninstalling or deleting ArtYears removes the app's private local library according to normal iOS behavior. Deleting ArtYears does not remove backup or export files that you explicitly saved elsewhere.

You can delete a child profile from within ArtYears. Deleting a child permanently removes that child's associated artwork, albums, Age Art Books and related metadata from the local library, according to the app's delete-child flow.

Because Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP does not operate a server containing the normal ArtYears library, Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP generally cannot remotely recover or delete local artwork for you. You control your local library.

Apple device backups

Apple may include eligible application data in device or iCloud backups depending on Apple's behavior and your device settings. Those Apple backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP.

Apple device backup is separate from ArtYears Create backup.

Purchases

Lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. ArtYears may receive the product, transaction and entitlement status needed to determine access. Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP does not receive your payment-card or banking details through the app.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

These statements refer to the ArtYears app. This privacy policy page does not load website analytics. Other pages on the Saanvi website may use hosting logs, cookies or analytics.

The ArtYears app currently has:

• No advertising SDK
• No third-party behavioral analytics SDK
• No ads
• No cross-app tracking
• No sale or rental of personal information
• No Saanvi or Confianza cloud account
• No developer-operated backend receiving the normal artwork library

Apple platform systems such as StoreKit, permissions prompts and device backups may still process technical information under Apple's terms. Support email is described below.

Support communications

If you contact support, Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP receives the email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used only to respond to the support request, diagnose the reported problem, and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, fraud or abuse prevention, and legal obligations. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing hello@saanvi.ai, subject to legal obligations.

Please do not send children's private artwork or full ArtYears backup files unless they are necessary to explain your issue and you are comfortable sharing them.

Children's privacy

ArtYears is designed for parents, guardians and families to preserve children's artwork. Children do not need to create an ArtYears account or send personal information to Confianza TechnoSoft Solutions LLP. In the current version of ArtYears, child profile information and artwork are stored locally on the device under the architecture described above.

Parents and guardians control what they store in ArtYears and what they choose to share, export, print or attach to a support message.

Security

ArtYears relies on iOS app sandboxing, Apple platform protections and local storage. ArtYears backups include integrity checks for the files listed in the backup manifest. No device, file or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Files you deliberately export or share outside ArtYears are protected according to the destination you select. Store ArtYears backup files in a secure location you trust.

Policy changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a future version of ArtYears adds optional Family Sync, cloud services, analytics, accounts or other data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that functionality is released.
